1. Who we are

Sofia Car Hire Info operates sofiacarhire.com, a comparison website for car rental in Sofia and the surrounding region. We are an affiliate. We do not own vehicles, we do not employ drivers, and we are not party to any rental agreement you enter into.

These terms cover your use of this website. They do not cover the rental itself, which is governed by the terms of the supplier you choose.

2. What booking through this site means

When you select a car here, your booking request is passed to the rental supplier that listed it. The contract that results is between you and that supplier. They take payment, they hand over the vehicle, they hold any deposit, and they handle any dispute about the condition of the car.

We charge you nothing. We are paid a commission by the supplier when a booking completes, which does not change the price you are quoted and does not give us a reason to rank one supplier above another.

3. Accuracy of listings

Prices, availability, vehicle details and supplier terms are supplied to us and shown as we receive them. They change frequently. We take reasonable care to display them correctly but we cannot guarantee that every figure is current at the moment you read it, and the terms confirmed by the supplier at the point of booking are the ones that apply.

Where this site provides general information about driving in Bulgaria, distances, road conditions or local rules, it is offered in good faith and is not legal advice. Rules change; verify anything that matters to your trip against an official source.

4. Your responsibilities as a driver

You are responsible for holding a valid licence accepted by the supplier, for meeting their age and experience requirements, and for presenting a payment card in the main driver's own name. You are responsible for reading the supplier's terms on fuel, mileage, excess, additional drivers and cross-border travel before you commit.

Anyone driving the vehicle must be named on the rental agreement. Driving outside the terms of that agreement may invalidate the cover.

5. Cancellations and changes

Cancellation and amendment terms are set by the supplier and are shown on each listing before you book. Contact the supplier directly to cancel or change a booking. We can help you find their details, but we cannot cancel on your behalf or issue a refund, because we never held your money.

6. Limits on our liability

We provide this website as it is. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for loss arising from a supplier's acts or omissions, from a vehicle being unavailable, from inaccuracies in listing data, or from your inability to use the site at any particular moment.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use this site to break the law, to scrape or republish its content systematically, to attempt to interfere with its operation, or to submit reviews or messages that are false, abusive or written on behalf of someone else. We may withdraw access where any of that happens.

8. Content and intellectual property

The text, layout, images and structure of this site belong to us or to our licensors. You may read, print and share pages for your own use. You may not copy them for republication elsewhere.

Vehicle names and manufacturer marks belong to their owners and appear here only to describe the cars offered.

9. Reviews submitted by visitors

If you submit a review you confirm it describes your own experience. We may edit for length or clarity, and we may decline to publish anything that is defamatory, off topic or clearly not genuine.

10. Changes to these terms

We update these terms as the service changes. The version on this page is the current one and the date at the top tells you when it last moved. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

11. Law and contact

These terms are governed by Bulgarian law, and nothing in them removes the protections available to you as a consumer where you live.
